Story of Mathematics - From Zero to Infinity

Writer: Er. Anil K. Ray Er. Anil K. Ray

Everyone is afraid of mathematics, but do you know the whole story? If no, then today in this blog, we will know how the story of mathematics started from zero to infinity.

Both humanity and mathematics have developed simultaneously and both of them are intertwined in such a way that you cannot separate them even after wanting them. They are complementary to each other, but whenever the story of human development is told, the story of development of mathematics is missed.

Not only science, all the arts also rest on the shoulders of mathematics. The great mathematician Pythagoras discovered the relationship between music and

mathematics several hundred years before the birth of Isha Christ. Arts like painting and sculpture are not possible without understanding of shape and proportion.

Pythagoras

According to many scientists, many animals can count from

five to seven. No one knows when and where humans first learned to count, but the evidence of first writing and counting digits is found in today's Iraq (formerly called Babylon) and Egypt. People here used clay strips or banquet leaves to write the numbers.

The pyramid of Egypt is one of the oldest things made by humans on this planet. This pyramid was built about five thousand years ago. The design of this pyramid informs that the development of geometry started five thousand years ago.

According to the famous mathematician Marc Toussaint, the most special thing about the

Pyramid of Egypt

pyramid of Egypt is the best use of mathematics in its construction. This pyramid is the greatest practical example of of Pythagoras formulas. This pyramid is the largest and oldest example of Pythagoras' formula. In ancient times, to make this pyramid, a knot rope made at equal distance was used. It was used in such a way that the first arm was three knots long, the second arm was four knots and the third arm was five knots long.

i.e They had considered the base B= 3 units, Perpendicular length P= 4 units and Hypotenuse H= 5 Units.

so, H^2= p^2+B^2

i.e. 5^2= 4^2+3^2

That means five thousand years ago, this miraculous pyramid was made with the use of stone, rope and understanding of people's mathematics.
